John Matthews, a schlubby thirty-something desperate to break into the industry, humiliates himself in boardrooms and auditions with his half-baked impressions and costumes. At home, he wrestles with loneliness, insecurity, and a gnawing sense that his life is going nowhere. But when his bizarre creations start bleeding into his daily routine—sometimes to disastrous effect—John faces a choice: abandon his eccentric alter-egos, or embrace them to finally carve out a place for himself in the world. Funny, awkward, and deeply human, the story is a comic portrait of chasing validation while learning to accept who you really are.

BBQ Girl
