"A struggling wannabe character actor, rejected at every turn, discovers that the outlandish personas he invents might be the very key to transforming his real life—if he can stop sabotaging himself in the process."

In this quirky dramedy set against the cutthroat backdrop of Hollywood, John Matthews, a struggling actor weighed down by self-doubt and rejection, finds an unlikely companion in Donut—a whimsical, talking pastry that embodies his inner critic and cheerleader. As John battles his insecurities and the absurd pressures of the entertainment industry, Donut’s playful presence forces him to confront his fears and redefine success on his own terms. “Glazed and Confused” is a heartfelt, offbeat exploration of creativity, mental health, and the messy journey toward self-acceptance.

Matt Moeller has aspired to be a writer, director, and funnyman since living in Orlando, Florida in 2004 which is basically the cretaceous period at this point. He’s written a book about improv comedy, hosted a live show where he got romantically dumped on stage 20 times in one night, made a ton of little fun videos for channel101 and YouTube, and now he’s full port into writing and directing horror shorts. This is the first you’ve heard of him and you’re unimpressed, but somewhat tickled at his self deprecation and meta humor. Wait, he’s standing right behind you right now, isn’t he?
