Locke and Lowde
by Matt Moeller
"When reckless young undercover David Lowde blows his cover busting an ice cream–based drug ring, the department pairs him with retiring, by-the-book Joe Locke—now they must expose a corrupt commissioner and a cocaine‑loving crime boss racing to launch a nuclear ransom, or Miami goes up in sprinkles."
Locke and Lowde is a gonzo, gleefully absurd buddy-cop action-comedy set in a sun‑soaked, stormy Miami where old-school detective Joe Locke — a tuxedoed, nearing-retirement straight‑arrow — is forced to partner with reckless, undercover maverick David Lowde. When an ice‑cream truck bust spirals into a murder, a city‑wide conspiracy ties crooked Commissioner Max Dickson to cocaine cartels, a cloned kung‑fu workforce, and a madcap plot to build a nuclear warhead in an underground ice‑cream factory. Equal parts slapstick, noir pastiche and romantic farce (featuring Joe’s lab genius ex, Clearly Lovely, and the sultry, duplicitous Anita Direction), the film barrels toward one explosive, heartfelt showdown about loyalty, listening — and how to disarm a bomb bra without detonating a city.

(John Matthew Moeller)JUST A BIG OL' NERD
Matt Moeller has aspired to be a writer, director, and funnyman since living in Orlando, Florida in 2004 which is basically the cretaceous period at this point. He’s written a book about improv comedy, hosted a live show where he got romantically dumped on stage 20 times in one night, made a ton of little fun videos for channel101 and YouTube, and now he’s full port into writing and directing horror shorts. This is the first you’ve heard of him and you’re unimpressed, but somewhat tickled at his self deprecation and meta humor. Wait, he’s standing right behind you right now, isn’t he?
